The 3d photorealistic renderings for the Alameda Marina project were produced with two of my best clients; STUDIOfcf and the Oakland office of KTGY. This project faced intense opposition at first until the first render was shown to the public. The public then understood how the project was addressing many needs. A working waterfront, public waterfront access and housing are all designed into a cohesive plan in this project. Smith + Smith Landscape Architects planned, programmed and designed the project’s public realm / open spaces.
This project has received unanimous approvals by both the Planning Commission and City Council of the City of Alameda, demonstrating the high quality of the proposed project.
The digital work by my studio Digital Frontier was amazing, capturing the sense of place correctly which helped bring the public on board to support the project. Great photography by Eric Sahlin helped better demonstrate the existing conditions we eventually used in the transition videos that really show the positive change this project will bring to Alameda.
